Privacy Policy
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. If you have any questions about our privacy policy, please contact us as described in the section entitled "Contact Us" below.
Information We Collect
We will only collect personal information about you during the following times:
- When ordering materials from our online bookstore or in our bookstore
- When signing up for our educational workshops or trainings
- When signing up to receive or have your child receive any services we provide, such as tutoring and music therapy
- When you request to be put on our mailing list to receive notice about our workshops and trainings
Information We Collect When Purchases Are Made:
Personal information is information that identifies you specifically. When making purchases online all of our transactions go through PayPal. View PayPal's Privacy Policy. The only information we use from PayPal is in regards to your purchase through us is as follows; full name, mailing address, and products you purchased. We will only use your email address or phone number when we encounter a problem with acquiring or shipping the product(s) you purchased.
When making purchases in our store the information we collect will be limited to what is required for the transaction to be completed. When making a purchase using a credit or debit card we will take the following information; full name on the card, card number, expiration date, type of card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover), phone number of person listed on card, and signature of person listed on card and making purchase. When making a purchase using a check we will take the following information; full name, address, and phone number.
Information we Collect When Signing Up for Workshops and Trainings:
We will collect the following information from you when you sign up to attend any of our workshops or trainings; full name of responsible party (if workshop is for a minor), full name of party attending (if different from responsible party), address, phone number, email address of responsible party. We collect the same information from the payment for the workshops or trainings as we do when a purchase is made in our bookstore.
Information We Collect When Services are Provided:
We will collect the following information from you when you sign up or sign your child up to receive a service through Springtides; full name of responsible party, full name of person receiving service (if different from responsible party), address, phone number, email address, date of birth of person receiving services, school attending, grade level, and any past services used/received similar to ours. We collect the same information from the payment of our services as we do when a purchase is being made in our bookstore.
Information We Collect For Mailing List:
When a person signs up for one of our workshops or trainings we automatically put their information on our mailing list for notices about future workshops and trainings. We will remove your information from our list under the following circumstances:
- You ask to be removed (can be verbal or written)
- Your information is no longer valid and we are unable to reach you through that information
We will collect the following information from you for our mailing list; full name, address, email address, and occasionally phone number when direct correspondence is requested.
How We Use and Share Your Information:
Springtides, Inc. will only use the information we collect for the purpose in which it was meant to be used. When we receive your credit or debit card information for purchases or payment of services, workshops or trainings, we will only use it for that intended purchase or date the service, workshop, or training is provided. We will never share your information with anyone other than to process your payment information unless you give us consent, in which case we will only share the information you give us consent to share with the party you specify. The only other time Springtides will share your information with another party is when we feel a crime has been committed or the safety and well being of Springtides' staff and/or patrons is being threatened. When this is the case, we will only share your information with local law enforcement.
How We Secure Your Information:
All information we collect from you through our online store through PayPal is protected through PayPal's Privacy Policy and through our Privacy Policy. When making purchases in our store or paying for services, workshops or trainings, all hard copies of personal information is processed and then stored in a locked area until it is disoposed of by shredding.
Photographs:
We were given consent by the parents/guardians of the children in all images on our website and in our brochures. We will never use an image of your child without your written consent. At times we may take pictures of our events for Springtides' personal use but all participants in those events will be notified and will be given a consent form to sign either approving or denying us permission to take pictures and/or use those pictures on our website and brochures. In the event it is a large group event and there was not an easy was of avoiding photographing a person who did not give consent we will blur out the person/child or crop the photograph so the person is no longer in the picture.
