Summary of our tutoring programs
Tutoring Scholarships
Currently Springtides has one student receiving a tutoring scholarship. We hope to be able to extend scholarships to many more students in the future.
Our tutoring scholarships provide families with six months of "half-priced" tutoring. Essentially, the family must agree to come to tutoring twice a week for six months. During that six months the family pays for one tutoring session a week and Springtides pays for the other. At the beginning of tutoring the student is tested to evaluate their fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary levels. The student is then tested again at three months and at after the last session in the six month time period. The testing is provided through Dr. Patricia McGuire's office and is paid for through the scholarship money.

We are currently working on fine-tuning our scholarship rules and amounts but are estimating the costs to be around $1,200. If you would like to sponsor a student or donate money towards a scholarship we would greatly appreciate the help.
